The AQUAPANEL® Interior Partition System can support tiles up to 50kg/m2 with the standard installation method, without the need for an additional primer. For heavier tiles up to 120kg/m2 specific builds up are required and the boards must be primed before tiling.
Complying with the NHBC technical update 9.2/ 06 that came into force on 1st July, the board can be used in bathroom and wet rooms with or without power showers fitted.
For areas without tiles Knauf supply a choice of finishes. Knauf Ready-mixed Interior Skim improves the sustainability of the build as less water is needed on site. As no mixing is required less dust is created also. However, for those who prefer there is a powdered finishing solution, used in conjunction with AQUAPANEL® reinforcing mesh.
